While they heroes slew the great dragon, they were unable to prevent Severin from retrieving the Red Dragon Mask.
After the five factions secured the location, the Heroes of Sleeping Dragon Bridge went through the portal and discovered ancient draconic ruins that housed the lair of the red dragon Lostmauth.
Unfortunately they were betrayed by Rath Modar, who was secretly working with the cult and its leader Severin. The allied force ascended the slopes of Kelvin's Cairn to the portal's location, activating it with the hope of securing a foothold in Tuern. In an unprecedented move, the Harpers joined forces with the Order of the Gauntlet, the Emerald Enclave, the Lords' Alliance, and even the Zhentarim to stop the Cult of the Dragon. Though the heroes destroyed the undead Vilithrax, the cultists finally got what they were searching for: the location and activation sequence for the portal to Tuern. Finally in the Whispering Caverns in the Northdark, the cult sought to unearth the ancient hoard of a dragon named Saphirax, and summoned the dracolich Vilithrax to guard the site. At the same time, the cult cell in Icespire Peak enlisted the aid of the white dragon Merothax to plunder the mithral mines owned by the dwarves of Clan Icehammer, while those in Rothé Valley forged an alliance with House Xorlarrin in order to gain unhindered access to the blue dragon Venfithar. After having their efforts slowed by the Heroes of Sleeping Dragon Bridge, the cult began operating out of Ebon Downs, seeking out the aid of the black dragon Vartilingorix. Aided by the green dragon Charthraxis, a group of this new sect appeared in Neverdeath Graveyard, searching over graves and crypts in order to open a portal to the island of Tuern. The Shores of Tuern normal and epic skirmishĪ new faction of the Cult of the Dragon led by the wizard Severin Silrajin, arose in Faerûn to bring back glory to the dragons of the Realms.Lair of Lostmauth normal and epic dungeon.
